报告人简介：Dr. Cinseros-Zevallos received his Ph.D degree in Food Science from the University of California at Davis in 1998. He became a member of the faculty at the Department of Horticultural Sciences, Texas A & M University in College Station, Texas in 1998 and has been associate professor since 2005. His research focuses on functional foods and postharvest biology and technology of fruits and vegetables. The specific research lines include (1) studies in drug discovery of active compounds from plants and their molecular mechanism of action and targets at the cellular level, (2) studies on secondary metabolism in plants as a result of abiotic stress signaling mechanisms and (3) studies on the identification and characterization of surface factors involved in microbial–plant interactions that determine adhesions and thus influence contamination and decontamination processes. He has contributed 7 book chapters and published more than 90 peer-reviewed journal articles. As an invited speaker, he has given more than 90 presentations in the USA and internationally.
